From my point of view it is important to preserve our maternal language and teach it to our children. Each country has its official language and we must feel proud of its origin because it compromises our culture. Considering whenever it is of great benefit to learn more than one language to be able to communicate and to understand other people.
One of the dominant languages is English because it opens field in the world of businesses. Most of the entertainment is in English like films, video games, television, music and even Internet. Also we can add the one that the future generations only want to speak in English and it does not interest to them to conserve their maternal language. It is why we must make an effort to preserve the different languages before these are lost and with them our identity.
It is true now, people prefer to study further the English, believing that language is more important and ignore their mother tongue which is extremely important. I think that if you should study other languages because you get feedback from other cultures without leaving the home side, as this is what really identifies us as a people and nation.
