Languages. Unit 10.

From my point of view it is important to preserve our maternal language and  teach it to our children. Each country has its official language and we must feel proud of its origin because it compromises our culture. Considering whenever it is of great benefit to learn more than one language to be able to communicate and to understand other people.

One of the dominant languages is English because it opens field in the world of  businesses. Most of the entertainment is in English like films, video games, television, music and even Internet. Also we can add the one that the future generations only want to speak in English and it does not interest to them to conserve their maternal language. It is why we must make an effort  to preserve the different languages before these are lost and with them our identity.

My favorite restaurant. Unit 9.

My favorite restaurant is Fogo Brazil. It is located in "La Sabana", a block from the agency of Nissan. In this place I can enjoyed authentic Brazilian food, good wine and delicious desserts. There is a great variety in the menu as far as appetizers and main dishes. Its specialty is roasted meat, the one that serves all to you that you want. Without counting cocktails like caipiriña that can be accompanied with bread and cheese or the divine variety of appetizers or rich imported cheeses. This place is my favorite because its exquisite food, good attention and the pleasant thing of its familiar atmosphere.

Place to go on vacation. Week 8.

On vacation I like to go to places that I have not visited before. As far as characteristics of the place they do not inconvenience me whenever all is clean, because I go with my mind open to discover a new vacational experience. Of my preference a place where I can receive massage, is good attached food to a good service generally. Interesting places near the area where it is easy the access and the so fast hotel does not finish for me. The only beach I like to delight me with its landscape or to enjoy a refreshing drink, I prefer to take sun in the pool. My favorite place depends on the moment and the company. My best vacations are to the place where I have not yet visited.

Avoid Addiction. Week 7.

In the times in which we live it is very common to go to the fast food restaurants. That becomes life for its low cost, the laziness of not cooking at home, etc; Without giving account the harmful things that can be in the ingredients used for its preservation. The people consume food with scrap iron without realizing if we are addicted. This terrifies people and they do not admit it because in their mind they only fit like addiction words like: steroids, alcohol, or the vice of the cigarette. Creating the fast food a vice finishing in addiction. Unbalancing the physical health as much as mental until falling in depression product of the obesity. Also there is a large number of diseases like diabetes, cholesterol, problems with the arterial pressure, the heart and more. Being able to come up them doing exercises, diets, respecting the dream schedule avoiding the insomnia. Not to fall in vices or addiction is a easy way to take a healthful life.

The video games. Unit 6

 Today video games are very controversial. Some people think is good for the children´s abilities and anothers not. Which children don´t have a video game today?.

The parents worry about the violence  provided by some of this video games. They think they are bad because some of them players use weapons , such as guns, to shoot other characters  in the game, . Players can simulate or re-create real situations too, and act as the planner or leader to meet the needs of the game characters. Also players take the role of a character, or create their own character.

In fact many parents agree  with the video games and the knowledge provided  from this. There are some good things, the quick movements of  video games can help children develop good hand-eye coordination, some of them help children learn to think and solve problems. Create different challenges, fast-movement and full of adventure, such as solving puzzles winning races, searching for treasures, and fighting battles against monsters.

 Do you think video games are addictive?.  According to a study made in E.E.U.U the violence of the game video it is not the primary to the social violence. Nevertheless the mortal panic on violent games of video is double harmful.

From my point of view it is technology, and in these times that we lived it is practically impossible to us to give the back him or worse to even try than our children games do not accede in popular the video. It is only question of embolucrar themselves with our children in his activities, and limiting the time to him used in the games so that it does not interrupt in doing others of the daily life not creating addiction.

Etiquette. Unit 5

Etiquette-protocol is of great importance, because it gives us rules of formal education like professional future. From my point of view the practice of the protocol is extremely important since we must respect others because we live in community. And that is the difference between the good and bad customs or habits.

If you practice the following you have good habits:

When you enter a service business and the people at the counter smile, make eye contact and reach out to shake your hand.

Etiquette dictates that the hands should meet near the thumbs of each other's hands with palms touching, and the shake must be firm but not crushing.

Don't ever speak of bodily functions, such as using the bathroom or telling rude jokes. Even in casual conversation, this indicates immaturity and often makes bad impressions.

Using the terms 'Thank you', 'Please', and 'You're welcome' indicates good manners. People lacking in manners avoid these terms.

Hold open a door for anyone, male or female, following you closely. This is good manners and will never change.

If you need to use the phone, excuse yourself outside or to a quiet room/hallway.

This I feel is of great importance and few people practice it:

Always respect all elders, and listen to them and learn. They have been around more, and can teach you plenty.

Good manners demonstrate high standards of conduct, propriety and esteem; it tells the world you value yourself and acknowledge that you share the world with others.

The community is the place where we lived. In order to construct it better we were developed in her of diverse ways like creating new constructions… (apartments, tall buildings, freeways, stores, schools, neighborhoods). Giving better contributions from an individual to another one.

What we shared common that is of the benefit of all… (environment, nature, public transportation) to take care of it and to improve it so that it ascends per day.

Respect, clarity, and to every time assimilate it better and with a radical freedom…

How we live the friendships can be means or a brake for the growth of the community.

Letter Unit 4

Dear president of the republic of Costa Rica.
I'm just a college student in ULACIT. My concern is about the problem we had whith our security. I wonder where we went wrong, do we need more political?. Why we could not solve the problem once for all in a city as Lemon?
From my point of view, times have changed, we have not army of which I am proud,but it is a handicap against the lack of training and military discipline, law enforcement, local police, coast guards, police transport, OIJ, and then add to this, low wages, constant changes of personnel especially if there are changes in government low incentives, poor selection of staff, poor physical preparation (it is common to see policemen fat and less muscle than a child in kindergarten), hierarchy never even played as children or cops and robbers (we've had security ministers who were professors of mathematics), laws that support the criminals and not security forces.
Surgery in society must be general, with a knife and even a saw orthopedic, but fast because otherwise we might soon live as brothers Colombians and Mexicans. We need profound changes in our society because security does not happen today RITEVE.

 I chose a  cartoon artist, because it is interesting for people who are not satisfied with poor information, not too many people realize this career it requires a very  hard working person, to be very intelligent and with great instruction, Also has to be a good people skills,creative, a good communicator because this is a very stressful job. I think a cartoon artist is a problem solver and sound exciting when somebody win. At the same time is stressful when a player quit the objetive;definetely, the team player in this job doesn't tiring.They are in the right job for offbeat answering questions. There are not cartoon artist otherwise not enjoy the program so, like who wants to be a millionaire in Costa Rica. So, it is the work of talented people that are so well-paying in the world of fantasy and illusion.
